Use ROS and the visuomotor transformations developed for Tombatossals to:

  • Recognize and localize a red ball in the image
  • Gaze at the ball
  • Reach and grasp the ball

Socializing Tombato: Implementation of a vocabulary of social actions

Human-like behaviors implemented on robotic platforms usually help us to get more confident to interact with robots. Our visitors usually get scared or at least show fear when interacting with Tombato, we would like to know if a set of behaviors and human-like movements is able to change the feeling that the robot causes on our visitors. It would help us showing that robots at the RobInLab are friendly and safe.
